Process:I first chose the story I preferred, and after finding the story text, I deliberated repeatedly, putting myself into the protagonist. Imagining what the protagonist thought of, did and said, I got the first-person point of view text.
Then I began searching for films that were relevant to the narrative. Aiming to align the text of the story with the visuals, I made significant edits and subsequently dubbed the film. During the dubbing process, it is crucial to carefully consider the intonation and pronunciation accuracy in order to enhance the dynamism and professionalism of the film's sound. I added subtitles and other details to the film. All above were done for a better feeling of the audience.
Gains: I get to know how to integrate various digital elements into a multimodal works. Directly speaking, I know how to make a digital story video and learn to improve the matching degree between each element. But the biggest difficulty is how to better coordinate the story with the music, subtitles, pictures and voices.
Thoughts of this project: This is a wonderful opportunity for us to embark on doing multimodal work. Our abilities to write, to produce videos, to speak actively and to edit videos have all been improved when making this video.
Suggestions: I suggest that the guidance before the production of articles and works can be more specific and detailed, such as showing the specific steps. Feedback after submission can also be more targeted including how to modify the text.
