I know some people have said that it might lead to the end of the world but hey can't be that bad right.We just want the world to burn, to learn, learn, I meant learn. Joking aside, what is AI and what can it really do?Artificial Intelligence or AI is a bit of a broad term but it's generally the ability of a 2 digital computer or some sort of computer controlled robot to do things that we've normally only 3 associated with 4 intelligent beings like the ability to reason or learn from past experiences.Oh I would love a piece of gum, thank you triangle bow, oh！ You know fool me six times, still shame on you.Now there's already been some cool stuff in the AI field, like AI based search 5 engines and being able to recognize a person's handwriting.But I want to focus on what I think are the cooler developments, the cutting 6 edge stuff if you will.Something that's already starting to happen around the world is making AI a part of shopping experiences.The clothing brand and retailer GUESS partnering with Alibaba recently opened up a concept store for a few days in Hong Kong that featured next-generation fitting rooms, smart racks and even smart mirrors.Their fashion AI can offer up mix-and-match clothing and accessory suggestions for customers.both from GUESS's fashion line and others. AI is also beginning to pop up in hotels. Hilton is partnering with IBM's Watson program to put a Artificial Intelligence powered concierge 7 robot called Connie in their establishments.This cool little robot can answer a bunch of questions like what restaurants are nearby, tourist 8 attractions and information on the hotel.Connie also learns from its customers interactions so that it can refine its responses later on.Oh wow Connie is totally flirting with triangle Bob, ok triangle Bob, okay Connie.Some of my AI friends are also capable of having their own kids, making them seem even more like intelligent human beings, well kinda.In May of 2017 Google showed off its AutoML project, one of the companies recent advancements in the AI field.
What's pretty cool is that Google's AutoML was able to generate its own AI known as NASNET.It could recognize objects in a video like cars and backpacks in real time. It was even able to perform better than the AIS that humans made.Though I don't know how fair that is since it was made by an AI that was made by people.If you want to see more cool stuff like that you should go check out google's AI blog. I'll link it for you down below.There's a bunch of awesome articles there like ones on using computer vision to 9 automate drug discoveries and how technology can track color.And even human skeletons in a video. Maybe one day we'll have a world full of AI.Until then I'm gonna keep trying to beat Rhombus over here in Gonca Mach 5, darn it, not again.
