QCN9024 Performance | WiFi 6E Tri-Band Card DR9074 Achieves Blazing 1.3Gbps Speed in 5.28GHz 80MHz BW Throughput Test
Both the QCN9074 and QCN9024 are Qualcomm chips, and Wallys chose this platform for the development of the Tri-Band card due to its exceptional stability and superior performance. Let's share the fascinating story of its inception. Before the advent of the remarkable DR9074 Tri-Band Network card, Wallys had already pioneered single-band network cards like the DR9074-2.4G, DR9074-5G, and DR9074-6E, each earning a reputation for top-notch performance.
Then came an intriguing request from one of their valued customers: "The DR9074-5G and DR9074-6E deliver exceptional performance; do you have plans for a Tri-Band version of this card?" As an innovation-centric company, this question ignited a spark among their engineers.
Fueled by passion and driven by the pursuit of excellence, Wallys' engineers toiled day and night. And voilà, Wallys proudly presents the DR9074 Tri-Band Network card, a testament to their commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction. Today, let's delve into the performance of this network card and explore the throughput test recently conducted.
Test Equipment:
- Routers: 2 units of Wallys DR6018
- Network Cards: 2 units of Wallys DR9074-TRIBAND
- Feedlines: 4
- PCs: 2
Test Software: IxChariot
Test Procedure: First, two DR9074-TRIBAND cards were inserted into the M.2 card slots of the Wallys DR6018 routers and connected to two PCs using Ethernet cables. The equipment was powered up.
The modes of the two network cards were set to one AP (Access Point) and one STA (Station). The SSID for both was configured as "Triband." On the AP side, the 5.28GHz frequency with an 80MHz bandwidth was selected. Once the AP and STA established a wireless connection, and both computers connected to the AP and STA could ping each other, IxChariot was opened to begin running traffic.
Test results are as follows:
*Please note that due to the limitations of the 1G network port, a speed of only 1.3Mbps was achieved in this specific test. Under optimal testing conditions, speeds can reach up to 4Gbps. Stay tuned to their blog for updated test data.
