At the beginning, the director adopted a medium shot social close and an out of focus angle to show the gray background after a shipwreck. The gray environment emphasizes the spiritless and grieved atmosphere because many people left their lives in the traffic. Then, the medium shot turned into a close medium. Besides, the shot focuses on the female leading role in order to show audiences the slight expression in her face. The silent and calm expression tells us that the shipwreck took great traffic to Rose so that she could not believe the fact happened and she seemed to be in a dream. However, Rose's words and her sturdy expression conveyed her decision to live longer with her lover living in her heart.

What's more, the director moved the shot behind Rose and shot characters from a high angle. This scene expressed the tininess of human beings when facing nature and fate. Afterwards, the shot turned into The Statue of Liberty from a low angle, showing the end of the story that survivors in the traffic finally arrived at their same destination. Comparing the two meaningful scenes can bring a strong sense of impact to the audiences and raise people's thinking about love and life. Meanwhile, Rose got rid of mom and others' control in the end that would make audiences happy. However, Jack, who was Rose's lover's dead, would express the sad and upset mood. The complicated mood will last a long time in the bottom of the audience's hearts.

In conclusion, the director of the Titanic adopted a delicate shooting technique to show a sad and beautiful love story between Rose and Jack. From analyzing the various shooting techniques, we can not only learn the shooting way but learn an impressive story about love.
